In support of your service as a credentialed ACOM preceptor, we are pleased to offer you access to our electronic library.
We have assembled a fine collection of resources supporting our educational program, including many primary point-of-care resources to aid you in teaching ACOM students and in treating patients in your office, clinic, hospital, or anywhere you have access to the Internet, 24/7, using your ACOM username and password. We have over 1400 medical reference books and textbooks, almost 3000 journals, and Interlibrary Loan services.
We are happy to answer any questions you have about library resources and services. Our team of librarians are eager to get to know you and help make your visit to our virtual library a productive one. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call (334-699-2266 ext. 4242), email, or chat with us using the chat box below on the right.
What is Osteopathic Medicine?
"Osteopathic medicine provides all of the benefits of modern medicine including prescription drugs, surgery, and the use of technology to diagnose disease and evaluate injury. It also offers the added benefit of hands-on diagnosis and treatment through a system of therapy known as osteopathic manipulative medicine." Read more about osteopathic medicine from the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM).
